The EastWest Center Graduate Degree Fellowship provides master’s and doctoral funding to graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States to participate in academic, cultural, residential community-building, and leadership development programs at the EastWest Center. The East-West Center was established by the United States Congress in 1960 as a national academic institution to promote better relations among the peoples of the United States, Asia, and the Pacific Islands through programs of cooperative study, training, and research. The EastWest Center promotes better relations and understanding among the peoples and nations of the United States, Asia, and the Pacific through collaborative study, research, and dialogue. . Through team-building activities, leadership development projects and internships, learning about the Asia-Pacific region, cultural exchanges, educational enrichment gatherings, and community service. East-West Center Graduate Scholarship | University of Hawaii USA covers the cost of general tuition and partial funding for UHM graduate programs fees, books, accommodation in the East-West Center dormitory, meals, health insurance, and incidental expenses. Funding for field study and conference presentations is offered on a competitive basis during the fellow’s study period. The EastWest Center Graduate Degree Fellowship invites applications from citizens or permanent residents of the United States or citizens of Pacific and Asian countries, including Russia. Preference in the student selection process is given to applicants with demonstrable affiliation to the Asia-Pacific region.

EWC Graduate Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants need to meet the following criteria to apply for the University of Hawaii Graduate Fellowship 2023.

  • Applicant must be a citizen of one of the above Region countries.
  • Must be offered in Master’s degree or Ph.D. Degree in University.
  • Must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent and must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.00.
  • Two years of full-time professional experience at the time of application.
  • Acquire oral and written English language skills.
  • The age should be 35 to 45 years.
  • The applicant should be in good health.
  • You have to go back to your home country after completing your degree.
