Matsumae International Foundation Fellowship Eligibility Requirements:
Non-Japanese applicants who meet all of the eligibility conditions are invited to submit the relevant application documents.
- Applicants must acquire a Letter of Invitation from one of the Japanese host universities.
- Applicants must have a Ph.D. (Doctorate) degree or be recognized by MIF as having similar academic credentials.
- Applicants must be 49 years old or younger at the time of submission of their documents.
- Claimants must be able to communicate well in English or Japanese.
- Applicants should not have spent any time in Japan in the past or present.
